In this year's first round of applications, eight projects received just over 1 million SEK in support.
- We have received an unusually substantial number of applications, which has been great, and it has been an impressive innovative high, says Gunnar Eriksson Program Manager Film & TV Lindholmen.
Twice a year Film & TV grants Lindholmen Innovation Support on behalf of the City of Gothenburg. This year's second round of Innovation Support search for film and moving image is now complete. 46 applications were received, of which eight received the grant.
Many of the projects have pronounced target focus groups and are at an early stage of work to map and analyze the story's potential target group and its consumption habits. Four of the granted projects are more purely technical innovations that embrace and explore the rapidly accelerating technological developments in the moving image industries. The application of AI continues to be explored as a consistent element in many projects.
The management in the form of support takes place in collaboration between Lindholmen Science Park and Gothenburg City's cultural administration unit for cultural support. The purpose of support is to strengthen producers and creators of ideas, to create long-term growth in the regional film and television industry.
The support can be applied for twice a year and the next round is on 4 Sep-2 Oct.
