Hiber´s Browser-Based Game Platform has been given SEK 10 million in funding

The Gothenburg-based gaming company Hiber, one of the startups in The Game Incubator, has after its recently completed financing round, been given in SEK 10 million in funding to further develop its browser gaming platform.
Newly Created VR Showroom Opens Ovako's Doors

The steel company Ovako has made it possible to visit all Ovako production locations with a newly created VR solution and a headset. The innovative solution has been developed together with CLVR Works and IVAR Studios. The collaboration began last year at a meeting at Visual Arena.

Nicolas Swings Back and Forth between Comedy and Drama

Nicolas Kolovos, one of the Manusfabriken residents, has just completed the post-editing of his short film 'Index' which was shot in Greece this past autumn. The film is a miniature refugee drama and consists of a single take.
New writer constellations create the comedy series of the future

At the start of last November, Manusfabriken arranged Comedy Series Lab. Screenwriters from throughout Sweden participated in the two-day workshop to develop ideas for Sweden's upcoming TV comedy and create new constellations of writers. The result was five exciting series concepts, which are now in various stages of development.
Guldbagge Award for the 2019 Video Man

'Videoman' is a recently acclaimed Swedish film that takes place in the depths of cult film world where rare VHS films reign supreme. At the Guldbagge Awards Ceremony, Lena Nilsson received the award for best female supporting role, which increased the already widespread interest in the film which has its international première in February.
Shared VR experience is tested at the Gothenburg Opera

How can a joint film experience be shared in VR? That is what Visual Arena wants is attempting to find out in the project The Future Cinema, which is operated in collaboration with Aftonstjärnan cinema. The purpose is to investigate how the very best parts of the cinema experience - getting together - can be combined with the very best parts of virtual reality - being surrounded by the film - and to investigate how the possibilities of digitalisation can be utilised and develop the cinema culture.
Two new writers selected for residency at Manusfabriken

The application process for the spring residencies are now completed and two writers have been chosen to join the team of writers at Manusfabriken. Annika Ivarsson and Mikael Bundsen were chosen for the residencies at Manusfabriken this spring.
Narrative VR Lab's project Medusa shown at the Borås Museum of Art

Medusa by Sara Tirelli was one of the projects contributing to Narrative VR Lab during 2018. After the pilot, which was developed within the VR Lab, the project has not taken the next step and the exhibit by the same name is now being organised in collaboration with Borås Museum of Art. The exhibit will be held from 31/1 to 7/4/2019.
