Studio Jox collaborates across borders

Hello Jonas! 

What are you doing right now? 
– We have just finished a documentary film "Last Ship & Gbg Tidevarv in VR". The film follows the choir project Last Ship and the VR project about Gothenburg's shipyard era and shows when Körcentrum Väst with 400 singers sang at the 400th anniversary in Frihamnen in 2023. The film premieres at Bio Aftonstjärnan on September 7 on Lindholmen's culture day. 

A feature film will also premiere this autumn with a mix of fiction, documentary and animation; DADDY BLUEBERRY - just like a movie. 

In addition, we are completing the project "KulturVarvet i AR", the promenade along Norra Älvstranden - a rewarding experience for which we received support from Film & TV Lindholmen. 

Yes, you received Film & TV Lindholmen's Innovation Support for "KulturVarvet i AR" in 2023. Can you tell us a little more about how you have used the funds? 
– We have produced content material, graphics, film/mobile adaptation, photo editing, 3D to AR technology and tested different forms and variants with our partners including the Shipbuilding Association in Gothenburg and will compile and present this to several stakeholders after the summer. We work with 3D animator, graphic artist, editor, producer, voice recordings and archival material and much more. If you want to know more about our work, you are welcome to get in touch! 

In what way do you work innovatively? 
– We have developed several projects with VR and now AR technology, but for me as a creator it is always the story that is in the first place and should strengthen/deepen with new innovative perspectives for the experience and not the other way around. 

What advice would you give to someone who is considering applying for our Project Funding? 
– Think new formats, new perspectives for Your Story for new and old users. Namely; a concrete presentation of ideas and vision with the technology that enhances the experience for whom, when and how. Think pilot, tests, evaluation, development and most importantly: with collaborations. Who/who might also be interested in this that we can develop together, before, during and after...
