Monday, January 2, 2017

1.4 million people have played their biggest hit, but the company is still unknown in Gothenburg. Zoink Games is based in Lindholmen’s Game Incubator, where it has created several games. Gothenburg newspaper Göteborgs Posten paid them a visit there.

Cartoons everywhere. It’s obvious that cartoons are important to Zoink Games. Their offices at Lindholmen are full of pictures of characters from the company’s games, which have a truly individual style. “A lot of my inspiration comes from Tim Burton, as well as experimental music videos and comics. I love creating artwork, which is why I got into games in the beginning.”
Klaus Lyngeled began working on games, short videos and music videos back in 2001. 10 years later he founded Zoink Games, and the company has grown a lot since then.
